Replacement protection panels for industrial machinery

Made-to-measure transparent replacement protection panels for industrial machinery, manufactured from customer drawings, dimensions and technical specifications.

At ELAM we fabricate substitute transparent guards used on industrial machines. With continuous use, panels may crack, deform, lose clarity or wear at fixing points — often only the damaged panel needs replacing, not the whole guard structure.

We work mainly with solid polycarbonate (PC). Suitability must be checked against real operating conditions. Cutting, drilling and milling are used here only to reproduce the replacement panel — not as a generic CNC service. For complex technical parts see CNC technical panels; for observation elements see inspection windows and viewers.

Replacing worn or damaged protection panels

  • Breaks, cracks and impact damage.
  • Scratches that reduce visibility.
  • Deformation or damaged fixing points.
  • Wear from continuous use or cleaning agents.
  • Reproduction for older machines when OEM spare guards are unavailable.

Panels for different machine types

Production and converting equipment, CNC machine enclosures (when material and impact requirements are validated), automated lines, packaging machinery, and older industrial equipment.

Manufacturing from drawings and measurements

We review DXF/DWG, STEP, dimensioned PDF, sketches and original-part documentation. Quote needs outer dimensions, thickness, hole positions, fixings, material and quantity.

Solid polycarbonate for replacement panels

Impact resistance, transparency, custom geometry, various thicknesses, one-offs and short runs. Material grade and thickness must match machine safety requirements — not every PC sheet is automatically suitable as a guard.

Geometry and fixing compatibility

Outer size, thickness, hole diameters and spacing, corner geometry, cut-outs and agreed tolerances. Final compatibility with the machine protection system must be verified before putting the equipment back into service.

One-offs, short runs and industrial buyers

Single damaged panels, multi-panel sets, spare kits, short OEM runs and repeat supply. Aimed at maintenance teams, OEMs, service companies and system integrators.

Safety note

We manufacture to the agreed documentation. Conformity of the complete protection system and any certification remain the equipment owner’s responsibility under applicable law.

Quote checklist

  1. Machine type and panel use.
  2. Material and thickness.
  3. Dimensions / drawings.
  4. Quantity.
  5. Impact/safety requirements if applicable.
  6. Delivery country and postcode.

FAQ

Can you make a panel without the original drawing?

Yes, from measurements and available data — enough geometry, material and requirements are needed before confirming the order.

Old machines / single unit / which material / certified safety / shipping outside Spain?

We handle older equipment when data is sufficient; one-offs are welcome; mainly solid PC (state any specific grade); manufacture ≠ machine safety certification; European shipping on request.

How we work and how to get an exact quote for industrial panels and viewers?

  1. How we work

    Request

    You send a quote request with a drawing, dimensions or a reference part.

  2. How we work

    Quote preparation

    We prepare the quote with material, thickness, machining and lead time.

  3. How we work

    Approval

    You decide whether to accept the offer.

  4. How we work

    Advance payment

    You pay a deposit of 30% to 100% depending on the order.

General recommendations for the technical brief

If possible, keep parts in one drawing or vector file. Put material (thickness, colour) and quantity next to each item on the drawing — not only in the file name, email body or comments.

Hand sketches must include:
  1. Units (mm, cm, m);
  2. Part dimensions;
  3. Hole diameters or radii;
  4. Distance from the part edge to the hole axis;
  5. Write clearly for the workshop.
Vector files (.cdr for CorelDraw X5, .dxf, .ai, .pdf…):
  1. All parts at scale 1:1;
  2. Do not show dimensions on the drawing;
  3. No double lines;
  4. All contours must be closed, without gaps.
If you need milling, countersinks, slots, pockets or other CNC machining, specify it in the technical brief.
